March 17th

What we did yesterday =)! Yesterday was a beautiful 70 degree day. Jeff worked, E had school all day and B had morning preschool. After I dropped the boys at school Clara and I came home and Clara took a nap. We went to get B from school, I had to wake Clara up. I am ready for summer hours and being able to not wake her up to go for a car ride. When we got home we did go out for a little, then came in and B played a letter-learning computer game and I worked on a dress I am sewing for Clara from a "vintage" 1960's pattern. If she is walking by her b-day she can wear it for that. Clara crawled/cruised around. As soon as E got home we went outside to go for the first bike ride of the year. Clara in the backpack. The gravel is so wet it was hard for Brayd to drive with the training wheels (and Jeff and he are outside working on no training wheels right now) so we went to the bike-trail. It is right by PJs in Panora. The kids and I stayed at PJs to eat, and then had ice cream. Clara had her first cone!

Black Eye and Fake Daddy

I was introduced to what Jeff and the boys call "Fake Daddy". Clara likes to be held to sleep. So, I found out that on weekends when Jeff is in charge he and the boys devised "fake daddy". It is a pillow with the boppy on top and then a blanket on top of that. Clara is placed on these things- and then "thinks" she is warm and comfy on daddies chest! (and will note in case anyone who does not know us stumbles on this- he is always always right there). And on the sweet little innocent thing asleep in my arms in the first picture, she gave daddy a black eye! Think it was her hand- might have had the tylenol in it (? not sure) and hit Jeff just right. Look at that black eye!

Baby Goats-March 13th

My mothers goats had babies again this spring, two sets of twins. In these pictures they are three days and one day old. The kids always enjoy them. We picked E up from school and went over to meet the new babies.

Thursday March 5th

We went to Jacki, Jeremy, Emmet and Ellas house. It was a beautiful day. They still have not sold their house, but did finally find a place to rent. It is right in Springbrook State Park about 15 minutes form our house. Springbrook is a fav fishing spot and also has a beach the kids like to go to and swim in in the summer time (they do not mind the yucky Ia water). The kids built a rather large fairy house, we went for a walk Clara in the sling, played in the house tried for pictures of the three boys, Emry had to hold Ella (he loves babies!), Ella slept through most of the noise (love her pudgy cheeks).
